Hiking, Biking, Snowshoe and Cross Country Ski Trail - Pine Marten Run is a 26 mile system of hiking and horse-backing riding trails located in the Ironjaw Semi Primitive Area approximately 30 miles northwest of Manistique in Schoolcraft County, Michigan.

September 6, 2009

Muskallonge Lake State Park will host the second annual “Rock On with Lake Superior Agates.” This free show will take place at the state park in Deer Park, MI on Saturday, September 19, 2009 from 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. The event is being sponsored by the Gitche Gumee Agate and History Museum, located 20 miles west in Grand Marais.

 

 

New Munising Area Camping Resources

 

Bay Furnace Campground & Picnic Area
Bay Furnace Campground and Picnic Area is located in Alger County. It is 5 miles west of Munising on M28, on the south shore of Lake Superior, at Christmas.

 

Au Train Lake Campground
Au Train lake Campground is located in Alger County, about 10 miles west of Munising. Au Train Lake is the largest inland lake in the area. It is an 830-acre lake with a maximum depth of 30 ft. and an average depth of 12 ft.
